Regular cleaning is essential for your rug. You should vacuum your rug preferably with the brush vacuuming on daily or weekly depending on the density of traffic on the surface of the rug.
The rug should be kept away from such as detergents, hard surface cleaners, bleach etc.. Such similar substances should never be used for cleaning. These substances can damage the rug. General carpet shampoos are good enough for the purpose.
The rug should be cleaned and wiped with soft rags in case of liquid spill.
The maximum water temperature should be 30°C.
The rug should be dried as soon as possible after cleaning. The drying process should be in a shady area as strong direct sunlight might cause colour fading.
